Founded more than 40 years ago, MondragonLingua is the language-services division of MONDRAGON Corporation, an industrial conglomerate boasting a unique industrial cooperative organizational system with more than 70,000 workers across verticals such as manufacturing, distribution, health&finance and knowledge sectors.

MondragonLingua’s Translation Division accompanies its clients in their internationalization processes applying the latest technology and robust operating procedures to ensure the quality of the output, and offers bespoke solutions to help our customers get the most out of their translation budget. Additionally, we utilize advanced language technologies and translation memory tools to enhance efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. We have the privilege of working with over 1,000 certified professional experts in different areas and languages to provide a service in more than 150 languages.

Our translation team comprises experienced professionals who possess subject matter expertise in many different domains and are well-versed in adapting content to specific cultural nuances, ensuring that our clients’ message resonates with diverse audiences across different regions. By tailoring the translations to local customs and preferences, we aim to enhance brand recognition, engagement, and customer loyalty.
Our Translation & Communication Division has global presence with offices in Spain, the USA and Mexico. We are certified to ISO 9001 and the ISO 17100 standard (specific to translation services), and in 2005 we were awarded the Gold Q for our management model that meets the standards of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). MondragonLingua is the founder of GALA (Globalization and Localization Association), an international association of localization and technical translation companies.

MLAKOOP is the result of the recent merger between two MONDRAGON Corporation cooperatives: Mondragon Lingua S.Coop and Alecop S.Coop. Together, we have created a leading company in language services, technical-professional training and technical teaching equipment.
MondragonLingua is a company with more than 40 years of experience in the language industry, specialized in language training in the Basque Country and Spain, and in advanced Translation services, in Europe and the USA.
For its part, Alecop is specialized in the development of Vocational Technical Education and Training projects, diagnostic services and support to companies in the learning of their people and is a leader in the Spanish market in the design and manufacture of technical teaching equipment.
MLAKOOP has a staff of 300 professionals specialized in the different areas of expertise of the company.
Likewise, MLAKOOP is the majority partner of MONDRAGON EDUCACIÓN Internacional (MEi), whose objective is the promotion and management of Higher Education Institutions at an international level. Through MEi, it participates and leads the management of the University of Mondragón Mexico (UMx) in Querétaro, with more than 3,000 students in professional careers, executive careers, postgraduate courses, diplomas and high school.
MLAKOOP is part of MONDRAGON Corporation, an industrial corporation unique in the world in terms of its cooperative model, with headquarters in Mondragón, more than 70,000 workers, 105 industrial plants in different countries and 7th in the ranking of Spanish companies.
